Considerations When Buying a Home

  • Finding the Right Lender – Prior to beginning your home search, it is important to get pre-qualified for a home loan. Like REALTORS®, not all lenders are created equal. I can help you determine which lender will be best suited to assist you. There are many benefits to being pre-qualified prior to beginning your home search. Being pre-qualified will help you to know your budget, which saves time as you will not be viewing homes outside of your price range. Also, we will be ready to make an offer immediately upon finding that perfect home. This shows the seller and their agent that we are prepared, quality buyers. This may reduce competition with other potential buyers.
  • Research – Finding the right home can be time consuming, and this is where I can help! I will take into consideration many aspects of your life, preferences, and needs. What’s the commute like to work? If you have kids, what are the schools like in that area? How many bedrooms and bathrooms will you need?  There are many details to keep in mind while searching for your new home. I will be dedicated to helping you through the entire home buying process. Once we find that perfect home, I will prepare a written offer that fits your budget, and has the best chance of being accepted.
  • Once Your Offer is Accepted – After your offer is accepted, you will have the opportunity to have the house professionally inspected, and request repairs or credits. I’m here to assist you with any questions you may have during the process.
  • Moving Time! – Now that you’ve found your perfect home it’s time to make moving arrangements.
